Subject: Cooking Project: Snowball Treats

Date: Tue Jan 9 12:30:

Author: Tonya (tonyamb@bellsouth.net)

This makes about 35 treats.

What you need:
-6 cups crisp rice cereal
-1/4 butter
-1 package marshmallows (10 oz)
-2 cups powered sugar
-heat source
-large resealable baggie

Put the powered sugar inside a resealable plastic bag. Help kids melt butter in a large pan over low heat. Add mashmallows. Stir constantly until they are melted. Remove from heat.
Stir in cereal & mix until cereal is well coated. Allow the mixture to cool a bit. When the mixture is cool enough to handle, shape into small snowmalls! Drop a few balls into the bag of the powered sugar---gently shake until the balls are coated with powered sugar. Kids will have fun shaking, making, and eating the snowballs!
