Subject: Have kids make their own First Aid Kits

Date: Thu Jan 11 15:24

Author: Tonya (tonyamb@bellsouth.net)

Kids can tuck thier own first-aid kit in their backpack, locker, car, or room; each child will be well prepared for life's little emergencies.

You need:
--tubes of 3-D fabric paint
--white sticky-back felt
--craft glue
--google eyes
--mini pom-poms
--permanent markers
--travel soap dish (pencil boxes work well too)
--paper

Using the tube of paint, draw a decorative bandage on the felt. Glue on the googly eyes & pom-pom nose--marker on a mouth. When the paint & glueis dried, cut out the bandage & attach it to the soap dish cover. Be creative!
Make sure each child writes the contact numbers on a piece of paper cut to fit inside the cover & glue it in place.
After decorating, fill the box with items the child may need. Suggestions: travel size hand sanitizer, alcohol wipe, lotion, dental floss, band aides, change,...
