Subject: What's Inside the Letters

Date: Fri Jan 12 08:45

Author: Tonya (tonyamb@bellsouth.net)

All you need:
--markers
--white paper
--creative kids (!)

Ask your kids:
Can you tell a story on just one page? With just one word?

Explain to them that this is a colorful & fun way to tell a story or write a letter INSIDE a word!

Think of a story, letter, thank you note or poem you'd like to tell.
With a marker, outline really large letters of one word that describes the story. It could be: happy, exciting, funny, sad, mysterious,...

Fill the letter outlines with words to tell your story or message. Keep writing inside the letters until all of the letter outlines are full.
Illustrate the story with line drawings that repeat your letter shapes.
Share with others.
