Subject: Grow Watermelons with Your Kids

Date: Fri Jan 12 13:09

Author: Tonya (tonyamb@bellsouth.net)

Supplies needed:

--watermelon seeds
--planting pot
--water
--potting soil (enough to fill the pot)
--lots of sunshine

Place the seeds about 1 inch deep in dirt in a plant pot. You can plant the seeds outside in dirt where they can get lots of sunshine, if you have the space.
Water the seeds right after planting. Then water the seeds once a week. You should notice plants in about 10 days.
Weed out the weaest plants and watch them grow!

The flower blossoms, a melon bud comes from the blossom---the bud continues to grow into a watermelon! There's nothing like eating your own watermelon on a hot summer day!
